What is Uni?

Many of my friends seem to think that university is a place where you go to get a degree so you can get a job and receive a paycheck every week. It’s a necessary evil, one that must be endured. You start in something you think you might enjoy and if it turns out you don’t enjoy it, you stick with it anyway because someday you’ll have a family to provide for.

I understand where they’re coming from, but I see it very differently. I see university as a springboard to boundless opportunities. A place where I go to be inspired, and to hopefully inspire others. A place where I can connect to knowledge, to others, to myself.

It’s not a narrow path to a fixed destination, but a wide open gate that lets me out of my bubble and into the big wide world.

But I don’t want to leave my friends behind. I want to show them the potential which I know glows somewhere within them, potential to be amazing, potential to be happy, potential to make real change and improve our world.

So come be my friend, join me on this journey as we explore science, Leadership, and the incredible opportunities that lie ahead.
